African Homes - Company Profile
The company "African Homes Ltd." was established in Africa with its registered offices in Freetown - Sierra Leone. Another office for the European market or as a contact in Europe is located in Germany.
The task and the purpose of the company is the building of prefab homes which are designed for and tailored to suit specifically the African market and requirements.
Various studies have shown that there is an enormous demand for functional, well-equipped houses with a high quality standard which at present cannot be served short-term and in a satisfactory fashion. The African market is characterized by a high demand for functional living space for families. Infrastructure has suffered heavily in many cases from the many years of war, part of the existing houses date back to colonial times and are often in great need of repair or are partially destroyed. In the last few years, expectations and demands regarding the standard of equipment and quality have risen.
With its well-considered concept, AFRICAN HOMES wants to stand out against low-price providers based on its supreme quality. The highest European standards for structural calculation, materials and building design are being used. The extraordinary design enables a very high functionality and an optimum room layout.
The founders of the company AFH can look back on over 10 years of tremendous experience in project implementation, especially also CSR projects, which benefit the development of the countries on the African continent.
For us, sustainability and creation of value in the country are extremely important, also in this project. Despite prefabrication of the individual parts, approx. 50% of the materials used are acquired locally in the project country. Moreover, local staff and companies are commissioned for finishing work - e.g. for masonry, plastering or painting work. 70 % of the hours worked are provided by local companies or craftspeople in the project country.
Moreover, we are dedicated to sparing and responsible handling of resources and to climate protection. As an additional feature, we supply a solar system for power generation which provides the entire electrical power required for the houses, except for the electricity required for air conditioning.
Our offer comprises three models of AFRICAN HOUSES: Family, Office and Senior.
The various types mean that the various demands of purchasers in all areas can be satisfied in a low-cost and very precise fashion.
The houses are delivered complete, in 40 ft. maritime containers by sea freight, which in turn reflects positively on the costs.
